On a typewriter, right? On an actual typewriter. I even owned one when I went to college to type my papers

Ditto on a manual Royal taught by Mr Fasine. We had to learn how to type and use a 10 key adding machine without looking at keys. Both skills I use to this day

Ha! My second typing instructor was terrible. No Asdfjkl; just creating pictures with letters

I was more interested in my typing teacher's shoes! She was an elderly lady with the most exquisite 5 and 6 inch high heeled shoes that she had owned since she bought them in the 1930s and 1940s. Some were definite fetish heels. They were fabulous!! I can code but still can't touch type🤦🏽‍♀️😂😂😂

When I first started my current job, I had to use a typewriter to fill out triplicate forms! I’ve been there for almost 27 years now. That fact alone dates me! Lol

The dumb part of this was I graduated highschool in 2000. I was one of the few that had had a computer since elementary school. I could type proficiently long before taking that class.

My typing class wasn't mandatory.

And we used manual typewriters.

Yeah me too. I decided then and there I would never be a secretary. Also did food service. Decided that was not my gig. So I became a CPA. Yeah.

Haha me too! I hated it, waited until the very end to take it. Finally learned to type in the 90’s when computers started being a thing.
