Each subvariant showed different sensitivity to catechins and theaflavins. This may be due to various amino acid substitutions in the RBD of the S protein of each subvariant.
The study may suggest molecular basis for potential usefulness of tea catechins and their derivatives in suppression of (ctd)

I drink 4 cups of hot green and/or black tea in the morning and close to a half gallon of iced (black) tea each afternoon. Coincidentally I have also not had COVID. (Well I still work from home and wear a mask to go out also, and have been getting all the vaccinations.)
