It appears Elon removed the news headlines so his spam ads would blend in better. Elon is now displaying unmarked ads to trick users into thinking they are tweets. Wow...

dear heaven.
I would have thought that was breaking some kind of law - or at least bending a law severely out of shape.

It's like those fake headlines you see at the bottom of a news article that are really advertisements. But have clickbait headlines. I'm glad I am very infrequently visit that site anymore.

When I find out that it's an ad I delete it right away. He's not fooling me in any way at all.

X is the new CyberPromo and Elon Musk is the new Sanford Wallace. AFAIC, the banks can't repossess Twitter fast enough.

So many spammy, possibly unsavory/unsafe ads taking over. What a pit of guano. Sometimes easy to spot because they turn off comments. (BTW I have NEVER clicked on a SM ad.)

He also turned the entire platform into a non-stop advert for his crappy truck that makes the Chevrolet Aztek look like a Bugatti.

It never occurs to him how users can use that to troll and thus scare advertisers?
We already did this with the checkmarks.
First they were abused. Then it was a mark of shame and now people who pay were given the ability to hide the checkmark.

It really has become a cesspool over there. I am staying away unless there is something big happening - like vacating the speakership. I think spoutible is well on its way to replacing Elon’s vanity site.

At this point I'm only there to ask institutional and gov accts to post on Spoutible. Also some accts on bsky have said the muskrat reassigns xitter accts when users delete them, so my handle would likely go to a bot. I don't want to fuel the process. Xitter really sucks!!

I looks weirder and more desolate every time I go over there. But I can't tell if that's bec it's less users, or is my acct just being shown less of the site
