I was a nurse when the HIPAA law was enacted. Can some smart lawyer on here please explain it to me how state law passed by religious zealots to obtain the health information of women and transgender individuals usurps federal laws. It goes against every inservice I have taken.

I am retired. Combating Covid in patients accusing you of being part of a conspiracy was the final straw. But I truly don’t understand why the medical community isn’t raising some kind of hell.

I graduated from nursing school in 1981. I have never heard of anything so insane. There are going to be lawsuits. I retired in 2021 because I do not want to be part of anybody's lawsuit. I paid my dues and I wanted to come out without any blemishes on my record. But people are going to sue.
