All elections are important.

In bad times, the election is your chance to make things better.

In good times, the election is your chance to keep things good, possibly make them better, and prevent bad things from occuring.

Elections should be seen as a part of life, not an inconvenience from it.

Researching candidates/issues--and voting--are the dues we pay for citizenship. Without our participation, we become freeloaders who willingly allow others to decide OUR future. Who can be OK with that?

And yet, our national voter turnout % is dismal. So I guess a lot of folks are OK with that.

It takes time and resources to do that. There is a reason GOP wants a big chunk of. our population to stay worried about the necessities of daily life, sabotaging public education etc.
