Please do not ask a bookworm if they are going to finish the books they have before buying more. It is very offensive in our culture.

A good bookworm needs a constantly replenished pile to choose from.

It's the equivalent of asking a sewist if they're going to use all their fabric before buying more

I used to read 2 & 3 books at a time. I tend not to do that as much now. I make an exception when reading a biography or other nonfiction. Sometimes I’ll read a novel at the same time to break it up a little. I stopped reading 2 novels at the same time. 😜☮️💙

And if you notice they have more than one copy of the same book in their home, don’t bring it up, they’re probably very aware of it.

My husband and I had 3 copies of the same book because we kept forgetting that we had already picked it up. And that was before we could claim forgetfulness due to age.
