American friends, now that Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year and their respective hypes have passed, there seems to be a dark void without hardly any highlights ahead. How do you survive this lack of anticipation?

My birthday is Jan 31, Feb 1st is now "Ry Didn't Die" Day (celebrating my son surviving a car accident in 2021), Groundhog Day on Feb 2nd. Then birthdays for a great-nephew and 3 of my great-nieces between Feb 8 and March 18, and, of course, St Patrick's Day on March 17.

Live and plan your weeks with at least one "Adventurous" thing you plan to do. It may be as little as trying a new coffee flavor to taking a scuba lesson. If you plan one adventure a week no matter how small, you always have something to look forward to.❤️

May I suggest: friends' January birthdays? These are "Christmas Babies" and they get fewer birthday gifts as a result. If they aren't throwing parties, maybe talk them into dinner out.

My wife said she saw Valentine's cards on the rack now in Target.

it's ridiculous and obscene. I do my best to ignore holidays now except for the absolute minimum required for appearances.

Oh Im sure there’s another Hallmark Holiday coming up. My neighbors will probably have their porches decorated for Valentine’s Day soon.
