Hello Spoutible readers. What is your reading goal for 2024 if you have one. I don’t like to feel pressure but a goal keeps me motivated.

I don’t have reading goals but do always have a list of books to request from the library. I go through withdrawal if I don’t read for a day and wish I could read faster so I could finish more books.

I’ve fallen so far behind. I’m hoping for 10-12.

I use Goodreads and Storygraph to keep track but the goal number is just an aid to that and not something I necessarily work towards. I aim for 50 but usually go a bit over. It is fun for me to look back at the stats and reminisce about what I read.

12 books or a book a month. Last year, I read 15.

With my work schedule, I set a goal of a book a month, plus a few more so, 15 a year. Unfortunately, librarians really don’t get to sit around and read all day.

I wish you'd have at least two days a week where you did just that. Most of my favorite books were recommended by librarians.

Hi Jason,

I had that as a goal a couple years ago and ended up exceeding it.

It’s amazing how quickly the books pile up when you make an effort to read each day.

What genres are you interested in?

Love,
April 💛

I read sci-fi and fantasy the most but also enjoy historical fiction and occasionally thriller/horror. I also like my local book club selections that are usually books I wouldn’t choose myself.
How about you?
