I don't know why I don't nuke cabbage more often. With a little butter & black pepper it is so delicious. Photo taken after I ate most of supper. #LazySingleCook

Does it leave the lingering aroma like broccoli does?

I don't notice it when I use the microwave. And I roast my broccoli in the toaster oven with olive oil so the scent is different, not as pungent.

I'm all about 10 minute meals, as you'll see when you search the #LazySingleCook splashing.

I cut up 3 smallish potatoes + a hunk of cabbage (~ 1 cup), fill my square Corningware casserole, add some water, cover, & nuke 8 minutes. That seems to bring the right tenderness. I let it stand a few minutes. I have enough leftover for a 2nd meal.
