Grief has NO time limit. It has NO calendar.

How long it takes to get to the end of the path is unknown to all of us. And none of us get there at the same time.

Empathy and compassion are the LEAST expected from those around the grieving. If you can't manage that, keep moving.

Coworker caught me crying at my desk a little bit. He makes the second person to ask me how long I’m going to be sad about my boyfriend passing away. “You can’t cry over him every day for the rest of your life.” How not to handle grieving people 101. I can and I will if I damn well please.

What kind of knuckle-headed dipshit thinks this kind of statement to a grieving person is appropriate or helpful?

Grief takes as long as it takes. Mind your own beeswax.

Absolutely.

Someone had the nerve to to tell me my husband was weak and a coward.

He left with a black eye and a bloody nose.
