I love Spoutible and the people here but I am starting to see more and more people upset at responses to their spouts. It has happened to me once or twice and it is hurtful. We don’t want to become that site where we attack each other for an innocent spout.

Yeah, I get a little bit of that too. The nature of sharing information publicly is that what one person find cathartic or funny might be distressing to someone else. And sometimes people will say so. Because it’s their public space too.

Taking that in without insult is a skill.

One night I was having a tough time, and someone I followed and enjoyed put up a meme that just really hit my “why are we like this?” button. I said so, and the response was really personal and pointed. So I just took a break from that person. After sulking a little because we’re all human.
