Very interesting analysis. I loved the shocking deaths that bucked all Hollywood plot norms, and allusions to literary or historical universal truths most often lost on audiences just wanting vacuous ‘entertainment’.
Life is not binary nor simplistic. Neither was GoT.

Thank you! Yes, Game of Thrones was entertaining but it also has tremendous depth, complexity and underappreciated thematic ties to literature, history & myth. I maintain that the final season & finale were lost on an audience wanting a Hollywood ending when in reality ASOIAF/GOT is a TRAGEDY.
