Had a conversation that made me wonder...what are your comfort shows? Ones you tend to rewatch?

I am strictly shows that tend to be lighter, comedies largely.

What do you like? Dramas? Murders? Comedies? Reality?

I love historical dramas, especially if they're accurate with regards to surroundings, costume, and events. I can't wait to start watching the remake of "Shogun," I love movies like "The Last Emperor," and lie to myself that "Ladyhawke" is a medieval romance.

So do I! Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer were *glorious* in it - I swear they were practically angelic - and Matthew Broderick is fantastic as Philippe. So many quotable lines, great scenery & costumes, and a beautiful love story.

I still tear up at this scene:

Agree with all you said. That transformation scene pulls so hard on the heartstrings, but not in a manipulative way - it's genuinely moving and painful.

" . . . never touching in the flesh. Only the anguish of a split second at sunrise and sunset, when they can almost touch . . . but not."

"Always together, eternally apart."

"As long as the sun rises and sets. As long as there is day and night. And for as long as they both shall live."

My mom worked Saturdays when I was a teen, and would give me a dollar so I could rent a movie after I cleaned up the house. I loved it so much that I cut it off when Philippe sneaks back inside Aquila and waited till she came home so we could watch it together. And she *loved* it.
