Had a conversation that made me wonder...what are your comfort shows? Ones you tend to rewatch?

I am strictly shows that tend to be lighter, comedies largely.

What do you like? Dramas? Murders? Comedies? Reality?

OG Twilight Zone, OG Star Trek and Columbo (original and revival). If I could ever get my hands on it via DVD (still have the VHS set), I'd add Patrick Mcgoohan's The Prisoner.

It's funny, but lately my comfort shows are actually rewatching shows I like in the form of reaction videos on YouTube so I can virtually re-watch with others who have never seen the shows. Shows like Doctor Who, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Netflix Avatar The Last Airbender, Red Dwarf, etc.

The 1st two seasons of The Boondocks.

Documentaries - weather, murder, or historical events. Some nature documentaries, but most upset me over what we've done to the environment.

At least the weather treats everyone like the passing phase of Nature that everything is.

Bob's Burgers. Some of the humor can get a little gross-out for some, but it's one of the sweetest shows on television.

Somebody Feed Phil. New season just started. Another very sweet show, and if you love food, it's a treat.

I think I am the oddball here because I don't rewatch shows (rarely even watch TV to begin with). I don't in principle have anything against TV but I find that I just don't have it in me, mentally, to sit there and watch stuff. Sometimes I put on arts/crafts instruction while doing something else.

My younger daughter got me hooked on Gilmore Girls after her first baby was born 2 1/2 years ago. I play it as background noise whenever I'm busy and can't sit still. Fun fact: my kids and older grandtwins went to the same high school as Lauren Graham and had the same drama teacher.
