Find myself feeling the same way about humanity far too often anymore.

There are those times when I suspect the jungle apes who kept their fur and jaw muscles made the better evolutionary choices. No being a cog in someone else's money making machine, just living with nature, not against it.

I take a slightly different view myself, seeing all you say as the logical endpoint of rationalism and its ilk. In the end, nature always wins. The people who follow it stand a chance. Those who don't...won't.

Other times I might tend to agree with you.

But then I take a good hard look at our home, the plastic, the pollution, the various lifeforms humans have made extinct, just so a handful of greedy mofos can hoard all the wealth for themselves.

We're a dangerously ridiculous animal.
