A quick one today, with some #WednesdayWisdom if you squint hard enough.

Find myself feeling the same way about humanity far too often anymore.

There are those times when I suspect the jungle apes who kept their fur and jaw muscles made the better evolutionary choices. No being a cog in someone else's money making machine, just living with nature, not against it.

I take a slightly different view myself, seeing all you say as the logical endpoint of rationalism and its ilk. In the end, nature always wins. The people who follow it stand a chance. Those who don't...won't.

Did say sometimes.
Other times I might tend to agree with you.

But then I take a good hard look at our home, the plastic, the pollution, the various lifeforms humans have made extinct, just so a handful of greedy mofos can hoard all the wealth for themselves.

We're a dangerously ridiculous animal.

Powermongers like those mofos are by far the most ridiculous of our species. The myth of Cronus devouring his children to prolong his reign comes to mind. His youngest Zeus made sure THAT didn't end well.

Still, we have a place. We just have a hard time accepting it.
