The quote from communications prez for Lotus - behind “The Hank” station — is a bit revealing (see pic).

I note the timing and context…

Also, starting their “real country” in THE 1990’s cracks me UP. Because as a kid who grew up on 90’s country all they EVER did was complain about how it wasn’t real country, it was too pop. 🙃

I mean, I grew up on that so I’m fine with it. But don’t be all THIS IS REAL just to snub someone else, when it was pop itself a hot minute ago, because that’s just wild.
