A question:

When an why it came to be a thing that we need warnings to be added our books, other than genre?
Reader will or will not like the book anyway.

I think of it as being like movie ratings. A cover and a description don't necessarily give enough information about how emotionally difficult a book might be for some readers or what the tone is like (blood & guts & swears etc.)

I have seen like arm length warning lists for books. Have we gone too far to think that readers are too sensitive group and they need to be protected from, basically everything?
Can it also turn against the writer and the book?
