Here’s an in depth look at some bills that did & did not pass in Kentucky. One I am flummoxed as to why it made it on the ballot in November reads as follows:

“ SB 143 (Sen. Jason Howell) Prohibit people who are not United Citizens from voting in elections held in Kentucky. ” Isn’t already illegal for non citizens to vote in elections?

I don’t believe Kentucky is a home rule state though.

As far as I can tell, Kentucky already requires all voters to be U.S. citizens in order to register.

It's political posturing.

KY is a limited home rule/Dillon's rule state. Maybe they want to prevent a city from creating its own local voter rolls for local elections? Hypocrites.

I honestly don’t know what rethuglicans here are trying, but I do know I’m voting No on that amendment because it’s not needed.
