I am so sorry I missed going while I was living in CA in 2018. I got sick the weekend that we planned to go. I wanted to see a giant sequoia tree in person. It has been a goal since I saw a cut version at a NY museum🥰 It was humongous.

What a shame! There are other places in CA to see a sequoia that aren't as hard to get into. My son & I drove through Sequoia National Park on a college trip and it was incredible, too.

Beautiful place, the way the storms roll in with the lightning makes it a little scary. I know it is suppose to have the some of the best granite formations with several types present. Most of the landscape is granite, maybe that's why the lightning goes batshit during storms.

In all the years I've gone there, I never experienced a lightning storm. Snow there is spectacular, there's a hush that falls that is otherworldly.
