From what I understand, both things are true. There are Jewish students who are participating in the demonstrations and who feel safe, and there are other Jewish students who have been openly harassed merely for being Jewish and feel unsafe.

I'm siding with the Jewish students that feel threatened. "Never forget" should still mean something.

Ask yourself if this outrage against peaceful protesters is really being used as a distraction from the genocide currently occurring in Gaza?

"Openly Jewish" is not a great phrase to use.

It implies being Jewish is something that can be and should be hidden, no matter your intention.

Definitely not my intention. I meant that they are claiming their identity as protest participants. However, I appreciate the feedback and have edited the spout to remove it.
