I'm not on Tiktok and never plan to be, but banning it is a bad move. It looks ugly. The younger generations are suffering, and the only thing congress agrees on is making their lives worse.

I tend to agree with this. Even if you could show that it's a morally correct move or something, it's at the very least an optics failure.

You say that last sentence like it ever crossed any congressperson's mind. This smells more and more like an attempted hostile takeover in progress. They know TikTok is popular with Gen Z and therefore want it for themselves.

Absolutely, because Twitter, Threads, and Facebook etc are so noble. They would never mine data or spy on people. Ah- almost like that isn't actually the problem. You are right, they want to have it for themselves
