i would not have necessarily predicted “dream scenario” (2023) would be an even more uncomfortable nic cage vehicle than “leaving las vegas” (1995)…
but maybe that just means i need to rewatch the latter.

in any case, he definitely gives compelling jungian anti-hero.

goodnight, friends.

That movie is so depressing, I watch it when I need a cry and reminder why I can never visit there. 🤷🏼

Just watched 'Renfield' and Cage gets criticism for his acting and for taking any project offered to him, but he's better than he's given credit for.

'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' indicates he's self-aware and just doesn't care. He likes working and earning money. He's unstoppable.

he really is unstoppable.
it’s a treat just watching him work.

can’t believe i haven’t seen “the unbearable weight of massive talent” yet — i need to.

i thought “renfield” was pretty fun. cage was perfect in his role there, camped up & unashamed. 😝

i kind of love the premise.
a character so repressed
it creates a psychic backwash in the collective unconscious…
and how that plays out in the social fabric

the weird tech bro pivot in the denouement felt a little forced i thought
