i would not have necessarily predicted “dream scenario” (2023) would be an even more uncomfortable nic cage vehicle than “leaving las vegas” (1995)…
but maybe that just means i need to rewatch the latter.

in any case, he definitely gives compelling jungian anti-hero.

Just watched 'Renfield' and Cage gets criticism for his acting and for taking any project offered to him, but he's better than he's given credit for.

'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' indicates he's self-aware and just doesn't care. He likes working and earning money. He's unstoppable.

i thought “renfield” was pretty fun. cage was perfect in his role there, camped up & unashamed. 😝
