I aim for a liter and a half every day. Don't always manage to drink that much, but I do always get at least 1 liter down. That's always in addition to any coffee or tea that I also drink daily.
Found out I get gout and the trigger for it for me is dehydration.

I worry that people are drinking too much water!
I'd think you are possibly drinking too much if you have to force it down!
I drink about 8 cups of liquid a day, 3 cups of coffee, 2 herbal teas and the rest water.
This appears to be enough for my body as I get headaches when dehydrated!

You should balance that much water with electrolytes. Choose a low sugar sports drink. Urinating all of the nutrients out if your body is bad. Note: I didn't read the article. I don't agree to cookies easily b

I don't agree to cookies either!
There are always options to refuse the cookies.
I've set up an extension to google that refuses the cookies for me! - Consent-O-Matic
This add-on has saved me so much time!

Electrolytes should not be necessary when tap water is of good quality as it is here in Lyon!
