Oh I'm sorry! Here you go; I always make the 1944 Trader Vic's Mai Tai- the *only* Mai Tai IMO, and the original!
- 1oz amber Martinique rum (this can be a little difficult to find but it's earthy qualities make all of the difference)
- 1oz Jamaican Rum
- 1oz Fresh lime juice

- 1/2oz Orgeat syrup
- 1/2oz Cointreau
Shake, pour into a Mai-Tai glass (or a rocks glass) filled with crushed ice. Garnish with tons of mint, and the spent lime shell if desired.

Remember if it has pineapple juice, it's not a Mai-Tai!

Now that I think of it, I think the Royal Hawaiian Mai-Tai is typically garnished with pineapple.
