If you turn on the news, these protests seem to be the only thing happening in the country. Another shiny distraction for the GOP & the press to make Biden's tenure look chaotic...anything to turn attention from the booming economy & steady improvement of people's lives – except in GOP run states.

Mike Johnson, facing a challenge to his speakership, intends to unite the party behind him by cracking down on student protests. Expect to see more college presidents brought in for hearings, more Republicans like Lauren Boebert paying visits to the encampments, more attacks on higher ed.

So vote for Biden, ignore Gaza, because Trump? I'm just not sure how manipulation like this is good for the Democrats.

Nobody said to ignore Gaza, and nobody is ignoring Gaza.

Biden is ignoring Gaza. His response has been pathetic to say the least.

Please expound, in detail, exactly what you think Biden should be doing that he hasn't already done and is legally capable of doing. Then explain, in detail and with fact based evidence, how you think the situation will improve if trump is reelected.

The folks who aren't gonna vote for Biden use the same type of thinking as the folks who wouldn't vote for Hillary. "This candidate has been deemed unacceptable for reasons and my own feelings about it are more important than the election consequences." They get to feel clean while the world burns.

They make me SO mad. They're as responsible as Republicans for the chaos. They might as well BE Republicans. If they cared about human rights, democracy & the planet, they wouldn't vote for a third party or abstain from voting altogether. They would vote Dem & help the fight for change/progress.

That is true. I think of them as de facto Republicans. 'Cause they're always helping them, whether they acknowledge it or not.
