Hope Hicks testified against Trump in the New York criminal case.

Accuracy Alert!

Based on the credible sources, it can be concluded that Hope Hicks, a former aide and communications director for Donald Trump, did testify in Donald Trump's New York criminal trial. However, the sources do not make it clear if she testified against Trump, hence the overtone of her testimony remains unvalidated. The trial is related to a hush money case from Trump's 2016 campaign. Hicks' emotional testimony was noted, but the content and implications of her testimony are not sufficiently detailed in the sources to claim that she testified against Trump.

Here’s my question for the “Accuracy Alert” determination:

Since Hope Hicks was a witness for the prosecution, doesn’t that mean she did indeed testify “against” the defendant?

Not sure. She testified for the prosecution & wasn't a hostile witness. Her testimony was damaging to DFG. But if we say, "she testified against him," it does sound like she did it purposely. It was clear that she did not want to be there. She wanted to work for him. It was a good gig for her!

I'm also the daughter of a news paper man. I'm not a fan of AI. It's useful, but it's also over-sold, commits copyright violations and can only spit out what is put in. It does show how the words we choose come back at us. It's circular. For this, though, it's useful.

I want AI to be applied where it is most useful and does the least damage [but I also know my thoughts won’t be in consideration.]
