It could be. It's an artist book only all stitched on fabric. You can stitch a narrative or just meander about with needle and threads. I'm choosing a different theme for each page. First was about ironing string into the fabric, removing it, using the resulting indentation. Second was transparency

is a fabric book like a sampler?

Hope u don’t mind my butting in here, I just took a class on fabric journals/books at my quilt guild’s retreat. It was in the vein of ‘Slow Stitch’ taught by Pati Fried. It can be a hand stitch sampler/doodle pad but you could do other things too, like a fun kids book out of scrap blocks/tidbits.

I didn’t have room to say before, these were Pati’s class samples, and she happens to be friends with fabulous art quilter Freddie Moran, whose leftover blocks she used in the kids one.

Ran out of characters. I didn’t make any of those, they were from class samples, Pati had quite a few there. She showed us a couple ways to construct the books. She has some sort of zoom class or group for this too.
