Good morning, spouters!
Anyone want to participate in a non-scientific study to help prove an idea I have?

my A1C was 6.6. Meh. I was at least happy I dropped 20 pounds.
This January, upon becoming established with a new primary care physician, I had dropped another 15 pounds. In early April, I had dropped another 7 pounds and my A1C dropped to 5.1. Anything under 5.7 is considered normal.

My diet has improved since I moved here in

December, but I still eat sweets pretty regularly yet, my A1C now shows I'm no longer diabetic.
If you're still reading this, thank you! 😂 I'm getting to the point, I promise.

started doing that, I contine to lose weight without any real dieting or consistent exercise. Pizza, salad, pasta, cottage cheese, etc., it goes on everything.
To date, I've lost 48 pounds and my A1C is normal. This goes far beyond Ozempic's capabilities.

for our entire bodies - hair, skin, heart, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. Do the research yourself, you'll see.
I need one or two people, preferably those who are diabetic or pre-diabetic, to jump on this - start putting flax seed on all food at every meal. Monitor your weight

on a weekly basis and when you get lab work done, document your A1C.
You might think I'm crazy, but I think flax seed is the key to weightloss and healthy A1C levels.
Anyone interested?

Flax meal is pretty good sprinkled on salad and mixed into a scoop of salsa. I like the texture and a tiny bit of crunch.

Interesting for sure, do you grind the flax seeds or use them whole?

I eat them as is but there's evidence that shows ground flax seeds are better absorbed.

I was diagnosed pre-diabetic. Just cutting out a lot of sugar and exercising for 10 minutes 3 times a wk I lost 30 pounds. Interesting about the seeds... I personally don't really like them but will think about giving this a try.
Thank you!
Thank you!

They say they have a nutty flavor but I don't taste anything. If you cover with salad dressing, sauce, yogurt, etc., thst should mask the flavor.

My brother in law had the same result, his A1C and weight dropped after adding flax seeds to his breakfast daily. He had cut sugars some too and lost significant weight. I actually lost my arthritis pain cutting carbs and replacing fats w/ healthy fats (after reading 'Grain Brain')

It wasn't clear if you've added flax seed to your diet as well.

My body doesn’t react well to flax seeds or chia seeds ever since my cancer treatments otherwise I would totally try it out.

Might want to read 'The Plant Paradox', some foods have more lectins in them (nightshades for example) that can cause gastrointestinal distress and lead to leaky gut and inflammation.

It’s likely the omega 3 in it which helps with bowel regularity and inflammation. You can get the same affects with fish oil.

I’ll maybe not give you a strong scientific comparison but I am trying to drop my A1c withOUT Ozempic. Already losing weigh & seeing better blood glucose control. I eat pretty healthily but my mobility has decreased radically over the past 2 years. So add some flax seed. How much are you using?

YAY!!
Literally, I'm using what I call a "healthy pinch" at each meal. That's it. I use less than the recommended amount.
I would love to see the results of someone not on Ozempic because if you can maintain a healthy A1C without it, I could probably as well.
