Living alone, I rarely have milk and eggs. I don't drink milk or eat eggs.

Mix has the superior expiration date and best bang MY buck.

Making your own from scratch is easy. You can do it ahead of time to make it go quicker if needed.
It also gives control over things like salt (Sodium) content and the kind of flour or other grain that go into the pancakes.

Milo's opinion: Boxed pancake mixes are a solution in search of a problem!

yup. Trade offs for each household. Tho I keep skim milk power for baking/cooking - perhaps a small bag or a shared bag could help. Powdered milk for me is also fine in puddings. I saw whole milk powder in grocery and will try that next time (ie years away) I need milk powder. Could be better!

The pancake mix where you just add water is my go to solution. If I want pancakes I want them now and I don’t want to sod around finding flour and everything else and making batter.

Good luck with a mix that only requires water.
