Question for the group:

What does your e-mail inbox look like?

For example... mine?
Both work and personal.
I have ZERO unread messages. I either delete, respond, or put in tasks, every day.

I can NOT stand unread emails.

The Mrs? She has over 1,000 in her gmail.

How about you?

Zero, I never have unread emails. But also, I’m not important or employed anywhere and no one emails me.

It has everything to do with what's happening in my life & what's on my schedule. I don't prioritize email in the way others do, I think. In fact, I turned off notifications. I find email a convenient way to communicate information on my time scale.

I cherry pick the ones I read. The rest build up until I can't bear it and then I have a purge. Cycle repeats about every two weeks.

Edited to add - my daughter had over 10,000 unread emails in her mailbox last time she showed me. I nearly spat out my tea.

I practice Inbox Zero as best I can. I maintain so much comforting clutter in physical life that out of necessity I need to do better in the digital.
