Sadly, you'll be looking at 7 or so yrs with today's offerings. I always get the extended warranty. It saved me big bucks on my fridge.

True. Our seven-year-old Samsung refrigerator’s icemaker finally gave up the ghost. It never really worked and we replaced the actual unit twice (the second time they charged us $350.00 plus labor, it lasted six months). Yesterday we bought a big bag of ice. Don’t buy Samsung. 🤬
