Wishing you a great recovery! I had a knee replacement in 2018 and it was liberating (after 4 years of suffering). Be sure to do the physical therapy and the home exercises -- these were a big help to recovery.

Congratulations!! I've had one knee and both hips replaced and it was one (three?) of the best things I've had done. It's hard in the beginning but stick with it -- it does get better. Do your PT, rest when you need to, and don't give up!

Thanks so much, Karen I thank you for sharing your experience! I’ve done some PT already and OT. It’s not been pleasant; but I know it’s necessary. I should go home today, so the real work will begin! ❤️💕🥰🤗

My wife is getting her first knee replacement in October. This spout and the replies here are inspiring and give me hope it will not be as long a recovery as we had feared. 🥰

That’s wonderful to hear!! I won’t say that it’s easy so far, but I hear from everyone that it’s worth it! Tell your wife she’ll do great! 😊 The outcome, I must believe… outweighs the pain! 😊

I went through that about a decade ago. It will be worth it in time. Just do the work--hard as it is--and you will be amazed at the improved mobility! Take care.

Make sure they get you on one of those machines that wraps your knee with tubing that constantly circulates ice cold water around your knee. I had a friend who had 2 knee replacements and only had the machine for the 2nd. He said it was a game changer.

It is absolutely necessary! Buy on Amazon if your insurance only pays for part of it. It is worth every penny, IMO.

Thanks so much for this information! 🥰
The way I understand this, they are sending me home with the one that I’ve been using in the hospital. I think my insurance pays for it. It’s been so nice to have! 🤗😊

You can DO this! Do the exercises even if you don't feel like it! The more you bend, the easier it will bend. Ice is your friend. Ice all they will let you.
