my adult son keeps promising my services; forgetting I sold most of my equipment. So now it’s a scramble to find supplies, flavourings.. spatulas.. ( Spatulas are such a thing with decorators.. 😒🤭😉)
Oddly the pallet knife and 11” straight from the $ store worked well. 😁

What kind of frosting are you using. I can’t quite tell from the pics of fondant is involved there.

I can never get my buttercream frosting to be nice and smooth.

It’s delicious but not great for decorating.

A dead simple industry vanilla buttercream. No fancy stuff for under fondant. ( I am not that good. 😏)
I can find it and link it. But generally, a smooth result comes from sifting and resifting the confectioners sugar at least 3X . No little pills get stuck in the piping bags

Also make sure for any icings or frostings use good quality vanilla bean paste. The traditional flavour, but with the deep floral notes.
