Ok guys and this is a serious question...why that it had to take Elon to mess up twitter for a platform/site like this to come along and encourage real engagement, decency, no drama, does not promote chaos and other phobias...I love this place...I have real and insightful conversations...

A simple answer is inertia. People tend to stay with what's familiar, even as it grows toxic (yes, I'm looking at you, people who hate Trump but still want to be Republicans).

Also, Twitter is huge. Choosing to create something to compete requires equally large impetus.

Thanks, @cbouzy !

Because it took someone like Mr. @cbouzy to do it. A real human, who lives here in the real world with the rest of us. He isn’t one of the rarified atmosphere silver spoon crowd.
He Is Us, and we are all gathering here at the table to speak on what matters. 👏👏😎🌬️🐳
