Office space has a big problem.

Much of it was financed under near-zero interest rates with nearly full occupancy.

Then Covid hit.

Now buildings are half full, companies need less space cause of remote work, and interest rates are higher. That means lower valuations.

What happens next?

100%. This also plays into how larger cities feel about remote work, as they draw tax revenue from their commercial real estate base.

People's needs come first. It is up to businesses to figure out how to generate revenue from that. 🙂
