Catching up since I missed it. On this day in Gaming history 3 April 1982… Atari held National Pac-Man Day to promote the release of the arcade port for the 2600. Pac-Man was a terrible port, and while it boosted initial sales of the console, it contributed to the 1983 industry crash #gaminghistory

The Atari 2600 port was my mom's favorite game for the longest time. She wouldn't call herself a gamer, but she played it enough to qualify by any measure.

I’m an 80s kid, but never got into Atari. First console we had at home was NES, and all my gaming before that was on our Apple IIe (if you haven’t played Conan: Hall of Volta, do it!)
