If my homeownership is the original Star Wars trilogy, and the dandelions in my yard are the Empire, and we're the Jedi, this is my second year of ownership and the Empire is very much striking back. That New Hope was nothing but a false hope last year.

They. Are. Everywhere.

The dandelions did nothing wrong.
D-lions are good for your lawn. wide-spreading roots loosen hard soil, aerate the earth & help reduce erosion. deep taproots pull nutrients like calcium from the soil for other plants to use. think they are a lawn killer, nope D-lions actually fertilize the grass

I knew someone would take this angle. So, FWIW, I don't use weed killers & understand they are for food, tea, etc.

That said, I live in a US neighborhood with neighbors who I try to be courteous to and mindful of, as they are to me. If I let DLions get crazy, it impacts them, too.

I meant my reply as lighthearted & I value being a good neighbor too. Even with their benefits D-Lions are a such pain to keep under control and make lawns look messy.
More than anything I thought your Star Wars analogy was was funny and made me think of this meme.
May the force be with you :)

Thanks for clarifying. And that meme is great.

Maybe at some point we'll get a sarcasm font or color-indicator when statements are intending to agree and jest/add to, not argue or disagree with.

If I had a nickel for every time my comments were taken the wrong way...
