I think we need to take notice of, and make media take notice of, efforts by elected Democrats to fix structural problems.
Examples:
There are bills to increase the # of seats in the House to reflect our actual population.
There is a bill to amend the constitution that will squash citizens united

I like this idea but if it's just gonna end up with Texas and Florida and Ohio gerrymandering, is it a wash?

Increasing the number of House seats based on population should give us greater representation of urban and near-urban mostly blue communities. Increases for suburban areas would be more of a mixed bag, but likely to see fewer extremist republicans winning primaries.
