Except then other people's timelines get flooded with echoes, often all from the same account. Be judicious with that feature, please.

This is an issue I've had here. Was forced to unfollow a couple of accounts because they were bombarding my timeline with echoes. I know we're all trying to build this place, but it was just too much.

The solution is to FOLLOW MORE not to follow less.

Agreed. I see the same thing echoed. I’d imagine this will happen less often as more users join??

Less repetition the more accounts you follow. You still see lots of echoes but of different things.

I may still see an echo reverberate a few times, but that's what echoes do. I like that effect.

Finally, if you don't like what somebody echoes, quit following them. Tada . . . their echoes gone.
