Look, if Biden is running for reelection, I'm voting for him in 2024. Period.

People need to stop pretending that voting for a president is somehow a difficult decision.

Same here. Currently arguing with an acquaintance who is insisting 3rd party is the way to get what they want.

Only way a third party nominee gains traction is if there’s ranked choice voting nationwide. A vote for a third party candidate now is a vote for Republicans.

Exactly, and no Republican is ever going to allow ranked choice, they can't even let a fair election be the norm, they gotta cheat to win. With Democrats in power there is hope to move forward to a better system than what we have.

My argument exactly. That and get the republiqans out of power and THEN get to work voting for the change you want to see.

Anyone who votes 3rd party risks putting an authoritarian Republican in the WH in 2024.

In 2000, Bush defeated Al Gore by only 537 votes in FL. Nader received 97,421 votes in Florida. So Gore lost because of a 3rd party candidate, and we've been paying the price ever since.

NEVER vote 3rd party.

i agree in general. but there are times when a vote for a third-party candidate makes sense. example: carter vs. reagan. colorado in those days was bright red. no way carter was going to take the state. so i could vote for john anderson as a protest. if we get rid of the electoral college, though …

I was friends with one of the Green Party members who convinced Nader to run. The shortsightedness sickens me to this day.
