In 2000, G.W. Bush defeated Al Gore in FL by only 537 votes.

Ralph Nader received 97,421 votes in FL (Pat Buchanan and Harry Browne recd 17,484 and 16,415 respectively).

Gore lost because of 3rd party candidates, and we've been paying the price ever since.

NEVER vote 3rd party.

The issue isn’t 3rd party. The issue is voter suppression and the # of white people who vote Repub especially WW. Voter suppression is more an attack on democracy that voting 3rd party could ever be. But I guess it is easier to beat up on 3rd party voters who values the Dems don’t represent anyways.

/2 60% of white Rs want a Christian nation. Their minds cannot be changed.

What we can do is have real conversations w/those whose minds can be changed. Did you know 12% of blacks and 15% of LGBTQ are registered Republicans?

/3 We need to have heart-to-heart conversations with those people who are reachable and tell them that their votes in 2024 are about their very right to EXIST without living in fear.

Rs canNOT win without their support. If we can change enough minds, Dems will have 2024 in the bag.

Psychologically, that "NEVER" command negates all the reasoning before it for anyone that isn't in at least general if not full agreement. Those voters most open to appeals from our side will much more likely receive 'pull' (carrot) messages than 'push' (stick) ones.

I admit I voted third party in 2012 as a protest vote, but I’ve been voting D before and since then. Never again.

Hindsight is 20/20, and none of us would have predicted in 2012 what is happening today with regards to abortion rights and rights in general for marginalized groups who simply want to exist without living in fear. Now we know, and hopefully fewer people will take that risk.

I read that Kennedy may get the anti-Trump and anti-Vaxxer votes more than Dem votes

Yep. I think rfkj is a greater threat to split the MAGA off the GOP than the wackadoo conspiracy nuts off the DEMs.

All he has to do is say his cousin will be at the inauguration.

Gore lost because Bush the lesser in Florida struch 93000 Black voters from the rolls in Florida. It was rigged. That is what they've been doing since 2000. They can't win, so they gerrymander and suppress votes.

Oh...and more people don't vote than do, so apathy wins every time.

I vote for the candidate I prefer who actually has a chance to win, in my opinion. I’m in NYC, so very often the most important vote is in the low-turnout Democratic Primary. My friend Paul Graziano is running for City Council in my District 19. I support him against Avella.

My Congressional District is NY CD3 - So I’m currently *represented* (cough) by Mr. Santos. I voted in the general election for Democrat Robert Zimmerman, a very boring candidate. In the Primary, I voted for @darrigomelanie (Spoutible & Twitter) who’s dynamic, appealing, smart, active, and charming.
