Aaron, I totally get where you’re coming from and I agree, but would you also not agree that the Bible was the beginning in so many peoples eyes?

Even the most skeptical have to admit it's a fascinating story, lightly dusted with wisdom. If there aren't occasional truths there, the men who wrote it are be applauded. Or, pewter poisoning was more fun than it sounds. In other, words I don't fucking know!

I agree that version of the phrases is part of the problem, that’s exactly what the Islamic fundamentalists do with lines from the Quran. But if they weren’t there to twist in the first place?

I’m not speaking from a position of lifelong atheism, my godfather was a vicar in the UK, on Sundays I had to attend Sunday school, followed by a church service. I even, astonishingly, came first in religious education at school once, however I find it all pervasive and won’t run my life by a book.
