I've been reading a lot of books recently where there's a slow start and around the mid-point it starts really picking up. Not sure how I feel about it. How do you feel? #Reading #readingcommunity #readingpoll #ReadersOfSpoutible #spoutibook #booknerd #Booklovers #BookSpout

love a slow burn

could do without it

I really struggle with fiction (of any kind) these days so the story needs to get my attention pretty much from the start or I'm out.

I’m good with either. If the character development is good, it’s worth it to me

If a book cannot sustain my interest to a certain degree from the get go, I really don’t like it. On the other hand, I have read books like that and ended up looooooving them. Lol. I guess I’d say, take a chance👍🏽😂🤗

That is super relatable. I try to give books a chance, especially if they're highly rated. Sometimes it just ends up not being worth it and I have to DNF.

The start of the book should be interesting already, then get even more interesting. 🙂
