I am currently going through a break up after a relationship of 4 years. The fact that it was amicable almost makes it feel harder to move on. Give me your best tips for tending to a broken heart 💔 please.

That's tough. Someone I was with for years long ago said that if you can't be friends with a former partner (after a separation/grief period), was there anything real there to begin with?
I think she was right. But give yourself time and space, too. And go do all the fun stuff you can. :)

I went through a breakup a few years ago where my partner initiated it even though I saw it coming. Some general tips:

1. Time will slowly help you feel better.
2. Focus on other greats in life you still have.
3. There are many single people around. You'll find someone new.

Good luck. 🙂

My wife and I split up in 2014, we still talk every day, we are still good friends, it’s better to part as friends, then to let it become ugly. Not every relationship works out, we were together for 22 years but in the end we wanted completely different things.
