Was on the recieving end of a "no romantic connection" text for the first time and ouch. It better than being ghosted but I still kinda wanna know why.

I've started a little balcony garden but now the crows want to eat all my seeds. Enjoy the live footage of me trying to get them off my balcony

One of my favorite parts about The Wire is Jamie Hector's performance. It's a shame none of the cast won any Emmy's. It's really a great period piece of the early '00

I am currently going through a break up after a relationship of 4 years. The fact that it was amicable almost makes it feel harder to move on. Give me your best tips for tending to a broken heart 💔 please.

3 Threaded Spouts
I'm not usually one to complain about this sort of thing but the big box dentist I go to is a sensory nightmare. Everything is made if tile and echos +plus it's an open concept so I hear drills of other patients.

Don't do this to me. I use this all the time!

Last week someone asked me what the Minnesota equivalent to "bless your heart" is.
I've landed on, "that's too bad," as the passive aggressive or "nice nasty" equivalent.
Tell me I'm wrong. Dare you.

This was a super unofficial online French test but glad to see I'm starting to break into intermediate.

This is a sub-spout about Fairfax road in Arlington VA
Bee Chisholm @BlinnyCSomething I've noticed since getting my ebike is some of the best (protected) lanes are on the hilliest roads. But the flat roads everyone would benefit from are just paint.09:16 AM - Apr 29, 2023

#BBBchronicles pt 8 One year we opened up at 12am on Black Fri. Why? I have no clue! They offered 20% off your entire order, which is like any other day w coupon?? We had 10 ppl there at 12am who had wandered over from Target next door and it was dead from 1am-7am. I no longer shop on Black Fri.
09:48 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt6 1/2 I worked at BBB 2011-13ish. They required all the cashiers to do the cupon math themselves. The computers we used weren't set up to automatically give customers the best deal.
09:38 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt6 like any other job that pays people min wage they were terrible at taking care of their employees. Our employee discount was equal to the 20% that people would get in their mailbox.

BBBchronicles p5 3/?...what was on the shelf. She would just clear it out. It felt really strange to be enabling their behavior when you knew they had a problem. BBB was a hoarders dream bc it's filled with all types of gadgets that you "might" use.
09:23 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles p5 2/? Hoarders: The 2nd known hoarder was a younger woman who was neighbors with another cashier. another worker had seen her garage & it was just filled to the brim with junk. & that tracked because The stuff she bought was just nonsensical. 7 lamps, 3 blenders she would just buy.
09:21 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles p5 1/? Hoarders: There were 2 known hoarders who used to frequent the store I worked at. The 1st one was Ms. Gene, an older lady who always paid in check. She was sweet and bought random and broken stuff off the "As IS" table.
09:16 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles people used like to steal those napkin ring things. They're like $25 each and can fit in your pocket. They'd return them wo the receipt and store credit for like $100-$200
09:11 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles Method 1 scamming I saw twice over a 3-4 year period of working there. And those ppl were dedicated. One drove 3 hours in one day (On Easter Sunday in her Sunday Best!) to attempt to return an item to get the cash. She ran out the store wo the air mattress she was trying to return.
09:07 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles You can't use any of these scamming methods anymore because they changed their return policy. I'm just telling you what people used to do.
09:01 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt4 2/2 5. Return the second set of items with the receipt that says you paid cash. Get $500 cash back.
08:59 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt4 1/2 :How customers would scam. Method 1. Buy (or steal) and expensive item like a dyson for $500. 2. Return get a store credit receipt. 3. Use store credit and buy $501 worth of merchandise. 4. use 1 dollar cash. You now have. receipt saying you paid in cash.
08:57 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt3. if you knew how the return system worked it was so easy to scam upwards of $500-$1000 without spending a DIME.
08:49 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt2 return policy continued. There was a stay at home mom who would come in every month and swap out the coffee maker she had. She'd return the one she had (used, and sometimes still with coffee in it) use the store credit to get another one. She went through at 5-6 coffee maker/year
08:46 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt2 Bed Bath and Beyond had a ridiculous return policy. At one point, you could return anything, in any condition, at any time...As long as you had your recipt. One woman brought in a garbage bag full of sheets that she had slept on for upwards of a month. We gave her cash back.
08:42 PM - Apr 24, 2023
#BBBchronicles pt 1 a middle aged woman was attempting to purchase $25 item and had a 20% off coupon and a $5 off cupon. She asked me multiple times to use the coupon that would give the best deal. Reader, I spent upwards of 5 min trying to explain that $5 IS 20% of $25. She never believed me.
08:36 PM - Apr 24, 2023
In honor of Bed Bath and Beyond filing chapter11 bankruptcy I think it's time for me to finally start telling stories from my time there as a cashier #BBBchronicles

Last week I had to get stitches at the ER due to me being clumsy with a knife. At the end of my triage the nurse thanked me for being normal and it is the best compliment I've ever received. 🥹
