When loading forks into the dishwasher, prongs up or prongs down?

I have a fancy top rack where everything lays sideways. Easy peasy. (Mom always did tines down because the handles were skinny enough to fall through the basket.)

Down so you’re not putting your fingers all over the prongs when pulling them out to put away. Plus I think I jabbed my hand on a fork once when they were the other way.

Always down, then you only touch the handles when putting them away.

Solely because I'm a clutz who once tripped while loading the dishwasher and broke my fall by slamming my hand on the silverware rack: prongs down, always.

It's really embarrassing to explain 20 strangely-clustered and gushing blood puncture wounds in your palm to the ER staff (five forks).

Up! (The silverware separator won’t let them go in down.)
