I asked the Spoutible community about adult content on this platform, and the users overwhelmingly said they didn't want it.

I'm not sure I want to stay. Spoutible touted itself as a true twitter replacement, a place we could all be safer.

Then it appears to have left sex workers, kinksters, and other groups at specific risk of harassment & abuse online, to fend for themselves on twitter.

Disappointingly judgemental!

Is there any particular reason why sex workers cannot participate in a conversation app without porn? That’s one of the many reasons I want off the bird. The most innocuous hashtags are just saturated with it. I have no beef with adult conversation but no porn please.

It should definitely be filtered away by default and opt-in to view for that exact reason.

Sex workers could use this as a conversation platform, yes. But maintaining a social media account is hard work and one here would be much harder to use for their work.

I totally get that. I know they use social media to sell their services, but I don’t understand why porn is needed to do that?
