My grandmothers - Dorothy and Geraldine - were big readers of Harlequin Romances, which is how I started reading romance. Grandma Gerri actually had a subscription. I think of them when I see Black characters on the covers and how they would have been so thrilled. #BlackLoveStoriesMatter

This is what my tulips looked like last year. They got damaged by back to back March freezes. The ones in the concrete urns survived all the rest, about 300 tulips, died.

It’s 80-degrees in GA and I’m wearing cut-offs. That’s one of my silly tulips blooming. They’re all up like they don’t know it’ll be 20-degrees in a couple of weeks because that’s how it rolls down here. And it’s been a crazy hard winter. Two hard freezes before Christmas. Never had that before.
